About Us
Funding Educational Projects One Step at a Time
We are a non-profit that seeks to bring equity and parity to the educational outcomes in Kenya and Sub-saharan Africa. We seek to fund projects on the ground in Kenya and Sub-saharan Africa that local leaders and non-profits there have identified as needs that will provide the greatest impact. We fundraise in the USA to bring awareness to the educational gaps closed through projects on the ground in Kenya and Sub-saharan Africa and to help give the opportunity to like minded donors to help fund projects that are on the ground with established non-profit organizations in Africa. We offer the ability for our donors to receive tax deductions for their donations as we are a 501(c)3 non-profit.

Our Story
Pacemaker International US Inc was a dream of three like-minded Harvard College graduates headed by Peggy Ochola to create a funding organization to mobilize donors in the USA to provide funding to educational projects on the ground in Kenya and sub-saharan Africa. We got our start during the COVID pandemic and were incorporated in July 2020. We recently funded our first project on March 10th, 2023 in conjunction with Pacemaker International Kenya (a separate entity) on the ground in Kenya. We provided $10,000 to fund a portion of their Teaching Empowerment Network that seeks to empower teachers in resource limited settings in rural and slum schools.
